Booking Service Agreement
4Drive Jamaica operates as an information and booking platform connecting travelers with independent local vehicle rental companies in Jamaica. We facilitate advance payment collection and voucher issuance. Your rental agreement is formed directly with the rental company listed in your voucher, not with 4Drive Jamaica.
Upon booking confirmation, you receive a voucher specifying the rental company name, contact details, pick-up location (typically Gloucester Avenue, Montego Bay or Sangster International Airport), vehicle category, and rental terms. That rental company becomes your contractual party for vehicle provision, insurance coverage, roadside assistance, damage assessment, traffic violations, and all operational matters during your rental period.
The booking advance paid through our platform secures your reservation and covers the base rental rate for the period selected. Additional costs handled directly with the rental company may include fuel, optional equipment, additional driver fees, or charges arising from contract violations. Deposit requirements vary by rental company; many partners offer no-deposit and no-credit-card options - check your voucher for specifics.
Change requests must be submitted via [email protected] or +1 876 952 4417 (Mon-Sun: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST). Refund eligibility depends on timing and the rental company's policy stated in your voucher. Late cancellations or no-shows typically result in forfeiture of the advance payment.
4Drive Jamaica assumes no liability for vehicle condition, mechanical failures, accidents, traffic fines, theft, personal injury, or disputes arising during your rental period. The rental company maintains sole responsibility for vehicle maintenance, insurance validity, and contractual performance. We are not liable for road conditions on parish routes, potholes on rural stretches, or delays caused by weather or third parties.
You must provide accurate booking information, hold a valid driver's license recognized in Jamaica, meet the age requirements specified by the rental company, and comply with local traffic regulations including left-hand traffic rules and speed limits (50 km/h in towns, 80 km/h on highways). Fraudulent bookings or misrepresentation of driver credentials may result in reservation cancellation without refund.
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica. Disputes related to the booking service fall under Jamaican jurisdiction. For rental contract disputes, refer to the terms provided by your rental company.
